One client was Burger King during its 2006 IPO, the first quick-service IPO in decades. She knew many other companies were working to get the account.
While chatting with the CEO before her pitch, she asked if he was going to bring back the “Have it your way” jingle.
The CEO said they were, after having analyzed it and realized how successful the campaign was.
“Are you going to bring back both verses?” asked Harris.
The CEO was firm that there was only one verse to the jingle.
Harris insisted no, there were two — it’s important to note here that while Harris is a successful business woman, she’s also a professional gospel singer that’s sold out two Carnegie Hall concerts — and sung the entirety of both verses next to the coffee machine.
Harris called on the women — and men who were sprinkled across the audience as well — to be the themselves and bring every aspect of themselves to the table.
